Trusted publishers for my research: decoding good practices & overcoming predatory publishers

Developed under the PATTERN project, this trainer’s guide supports researchers in navigating scholarly publishing. It offers a 2-hour face-to-face session introducing responsible publishing concepts, such as evaluating journals for transparency, quality, and ethics. Learners explore tools and criteria to identify credible venues, avoid predatory practices, and make informed publishing choices. A recommended prerequisite is the self-paced course Open Access publishing: overcoming the challenges and busting the myths. Interactive discussions and guided exploration are included. The material is also available in Turkish.
