Research Integrity & Good Scientific Practice (GSP)

This training material has been developed under the scope of the PATTERN Project, named as Research Integrity. This course is a self-paced training designed to strengthen ethical awareness and promote Good Scientific Practice (GSP) among researchers at all career stages. Through five engaging modules, learners explore key aspects of research integrity, including ethical authorship, research misconduct, data management, supervision, and the principles of Open Science. The course adopts a virtue-based approach, guiding participants to understand and uphold responsible conduct in research environments.
Participants will gain practical tools to navigate ethical challenges, distinguish between questionable research practices and misconduct, and foster a culture of integrity within their institutions. Suitable for PhD candidates, active researchers, supervisors, and research managers, the course offers flexible learning with a final quiz to assess knowledge and award a certificate. It contributes to PATTERN’s mission of embedding ethical principles in research training across Europe, empowering learners to lead with responsibility and integrity in their scientific communities.
