Bu eğitim materyali, PATTERN PROJESİ kapsamında, araştırmacıların Açık Erişim yayıncılığının gelişen ortamını anlamalarına ve bu ortamda yön bulmalarına destek olmak amacıyla geliştirilmiştir. “Açık Erişim Yayıncılığı: Telif Hakkını Koruma ve Araştırma Etkisini En Üst Düzeye Çıkarma” başlıklı kendi hızınıza göre ilerleyebileceğiniz bu kurs, esnek ve etkileşimli bir öğrenme deneyimi sunarak katılımcıları güçlendirmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Katılımcılar, oturum planları, vaka çalışmaları ve temel kavramları pekiştirip gerçek araştırma bağlamlarında uygulamayı teşvik eden pratik egzersizlerle yapılandırılmış modülleri kendi hızlarında tamamlayacaklardır.

Το αυτορυθμιζόμενο εκπαιδευτικό πρόγραμμα “Δημοσίευση σε Ανοικτή Πρόσβαση: Διατήρηση Πνευματικών Δικαιωμάτων και Μέγιστη Επίδραση της Έρευνας” έχει σχεδιαστεί για να ενδυναμώσει τους εκπαιδευόμενους, προσφέροντας μια ευέλικτη και διαδραστική μαθησιακή εμπειρία. Οι συμμετέχοντες θα εργαστούν με δομημένες ενότητες με τον δικό τους ρυθμό, συμμετέχοντας σε πλάνα συνεδριών, μελέτες περίπτωσης και πρακτικές ασκήσεις που ενισχύουν βασικές έννοιες και ενθαρρύνουν την εφαρμογή τους σε πραγματικά ερευνητικά περιβάλλοντα.

Ovaj obrazovni materijal razvijen je u sklopu projekta PATTERN s ciljem pružanja podrške istraživačima u razumijevanju i uspješnom snalaženju u sve složenijem i dinamičnijem području znanstvenog izdavaštva u otvorenom pristupu. Samostalni tečaj pod nazivom “Objavljivanje u otvorenom pristupu: suočavanje s izazovima i razotkrivanje mitova” pažljivo je osmišljen kako bi osnažio polaznike, pružajući im fleksibilno i interaktivno iskustvo učenja prilagođeno njihovom tempu i potrebama. Kroz jasno strukturirane module, sudionici će korak po korak usvajati temeljne koncepte otvorenog pristupa, sudjelovati u planiranim predavanjima, analizirati relevantne studije slučaja i rješavati praktične zadatke koji dodatno učvršćuju stečeno znanje te potiču njegovu primjenu u stvarnim istraživačkim kontekstima.

Developed under the PATTERN Project, this trainer-focused guide supports educators in delivering the FAIR Research Data Management course. It equips trainers to teach beginners and intermediate learners the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable), through five core sessions. Topics include research data management basics, data discoverability, accessibility strategies, interoperability practices, and reusability guidelines. The material offers session plans, presentations, activities, case studies, and evaluation tools. Designed for flexible delivery, face-to-face, online, or self-paced, it enables impactful training that strengthens data practices and enhances the visibility and reuse of scientific outputs.

Developed under the PATTERN Project, Research Integrity is a self-paced course designed to strengthen ethical awareness and promote Good Scientific Practice (GSP) for researchers at all career stages. Through five modules, learners explore ethical authorship, research misconduct, data management, supervision, and Open Science principles using a virtue-based approach. Participants gain tools to address ethical challenges, differentiate misconduct from questionable practices, and foster institutional integrity. Suitable for PhD candidates, researchers, supervisors, and managers, it offers flexible learning, a final quiz, and a certificate, advancing PATTERN’s mission to embed ethics in research across Europe.

This program is designed to help researchers understand how to secure funding and effectively maximize the impact of their work through dissemination, communication, and exploitation strategies.

The TIER2 Reproducibility Training Course provides researchers and stakeholders with a comprehensive introduction to the principles, practices, and challenges of research reproducibility. It explores the foundations of reproducibility, examines how reproducibility issues vary across disciplines, and introduces practical tools and strategies to strengthen transparency and integrity in research. By situating reproducibility within the broader TIER2 project, this course equips participants with both conceptual understanding and actionable approaches to improve research practices in their own contexts.

Developed under the PATTERN Project, Gender Equality in Research, Academic, and Professional Environments is a self-paced course designed to support learners in understanding, promoting, and applying gender equality principles. Through three sections, learners explore key concepts, policy frameworks, unconscious bias, stereotypes, systemic inequalities, and inclusive practices using real-life examples, case studies, and interactive activities. Participants gain tools to recognize gender inequalities in their own context, reduce bias, promote inclusive communication and decision-making, and contribute to more equitable and respectful workplaces and communities. Suitable for researchers, academic staff, professionals, and learners interested in inclusive institutional cultures, it offers flexible learning, practical exercises, a final quiz requiring a minimum score of 80%, and a certificate.

The Trainer’s Guide is structured around four modules: What is Science Communication?, Writing for the Media, Talking with the Media, and Communicating with Policy Makers. Each module combines theoretical insights, practical exercises, and group discussions, with the fourth module offering a slightly more advanced focus on interaction with non-experts and policymaking contexts. By using this guide, trainers can support participants in understanding the aims of science communication, adapting content for different audiences and formats, selecting key messages, and becoming familiar with the logic of media and policymaking. Sessions are modular and adaptable, lasting approximately 2–3 hours in live format or 1–2 hours in a flipped classroom model, and all content is available under a CC-BY license for flexible use and adaptation.
