This module provides a comprehensive overview of Data Management Plans (DMPs) within the context of the OSTrails project.  

It is designed for researchers, PhD students, early career researchers (ECRs), project investigators (PIs), and research teams who need to develop a clear understanding of DMPs and their application in research projects. The module is relevant across institutions and disciplines and does not require prior experience with data management planning.

The module introduces the concept and purpose of DMPs, their role within the research lifecycle, and their relationship with Research Data Management (RDM) practices. You will explore the benefits of having a DMP, the key stakeholders involved, and the variety of workflows, templates, and tools used in different institutional and funder contexts. Through short readings, videos, and interactive exercises, you will gain practical knowledge and confidence in getting started with developing, adapting, and using DMPs effectively in your own research environments.
