API (Application Programming Interfaces): Sets of rules and protocols that allow different software systems to communicate with each other and exchange data. They act as a “bridge” between applications, defining how one system can request information or services from another and how the response should be structured

CRIS (Current Research Information System): A system that stores and manages information about research activities, researchers, projects, and outputs within an institution.
