This training material has been developed under the scope of the PATTERN Project, named as Research Integrity. This course is a self-paced training designed to strengthen ethical awareness and promote Good Scientific Practice (GSP) among researchers at all career stages. Through five engaging modules, learners explore key aspects of research integrity, including ethical authorship, research misconduct, data management, supervision, and the principles of Open Science. The course adopts a virtue-based approach, guiding participants to understand and uphold responsible conduct in research environments.

Participants will gain practical tools to navigate ethical challenges, distinguish between questionable research practices and misconduct, and foster a culture of integrity within their institutions. Suitable for PhD candidates, active researchers, supervisors, and research managers, the course offers flexible learning with a final quiz to assess knowledge and award a certificate. It contributes to PATTERN’s mission of embedding ethical principles in research training across Europe, empowering learners to lead with responsibility and integrity in their scientific communities.

State-of-the-Art training in FAIR Research Data Management

This trainer-focused guide has been developed under the PATTERN Project to support educators in delivering the “FAIR Research Data Management” course. It is designed to help trainers teach both beginners and intermediate-level learners about the principles and practice of managing research data in alignment with the FAIR principles: Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable.

The training material provides a complete set of resources for instructors, including session plans, presentation materials, interactive activities, case studies, and participant evaluation tools. Trainers are guided through delivering five core sessions that cover the following topics: an introduction to Research Data Management and the FAIR principles, strategies for making data findable, techniques for ensuring data accessibility, best practices for data interoperability, and guidelines to maximize data reusability.

Designed for flexible use, this training material can be delivered in-person, online, or as asynchronous self-paced learning. This guide empowers trainers to confidently deliver impactful sessions that foster better research data practices and increase the visibility and reuse of scientific outputs.

Participants will work through structured modules at their own pace, engaging with session plans, case studies, and practical exercises that reinforce key concepts and encourage application in real-world research contexts.

This course is available in Turkish [TR], Greek [GR], Portuguese [PT] and Croatian[CR] language.

This training material has been developed to support the PATTERN project's scope in strengthening researchers' understanding of copyright and empowering them to make informed decisions in the Open Access publishing landscape. Designed for both face-to-face delivery and webinars, the course "Empowering Researchers: Retaining Copyright and Maximizing Your Impact in Open Access Publishing" provides trainers with everything needed to facilitate engaging sessions — including session plans, activity materials, and participant evaluation forms. A dedicated checklist for pilot institutions ensures consistency and preparedness across training sites.

This training material has been developed under the scope of the PATTERN project to support researchers in navigating the complex landscape of scholarly publishing. The course focuses on helping learners assess journals and publishers, identify predatory publishing practices, and select credible venues for disseminating their research outputs. Through interactive discussion and guided exploration, participants will become familiar with practical tools and evaluation criteria for making informed decisions about where to publish.
