      How to EOSC

       Introduction

      This course introduces using the File Sync & Share service, specifically focusing on how to efficiently manage and share files using ownCloud Infinite Scale via its web client called ownCloud Web. ownCloud Infinite Scale is a powerful cloud-based solution that allows users to store, share, and sync files across different devices. This course will guide you through the essential steps, including logging in, navigating the user interface, restoring deleted files, and downloading content. By the end, you will feel comfortable performing basic file management tasks in this environment.

      After completing this course, you will be able to:

      • Successfully log into the ownCloud Infinite Scale system via a web browser.

      • Navigate through the ownCloud Infinite Scale interface and understand its main features.

      • Upload, download, and manage your files and folders.

      • Restore deleted files and folders from the recycle bin.

      • Customise the user interface to enhance your workflow.

      The course is structured into the following sections:

      1. Accessing the Service and Logging into ownCloud Infinite Scale: How to access and authenticate your account in the web client.

      2. Navigating the User Interface: A detailed explanation of the main components, including the file list, action bar, and customisation options.

      3. Uploading and Downloading Files: Steps to upload new files and folders and how to download them from the ownCloud Infinite Scale system.

      4. Restoring Deleted Files: Instructions on how to recover files and folders that have been removed.

      5. Advanced Features: How to use the sidebar and other customisation options to optimise file management.


      Prerequisites

      Before starting this course, ensure the following:

      • You have an active ownCloud Infinite Scale account and access to the login credentials.

      • A stable internet connection is available for accessing the ownCloud Infinite Scale web client.

      • A basic understanding of cloud-based file management is helpful but not required.


      Duration

      The course should take approximately 1 to 1,5 hours to complete.
