The Argos Community Calls take place every last Wednesday of the month at
14.00 CEST. They last an hour and provide an opportunity to answer
any questions on writing and publishing FAIR DMP outputs and using Argos
(Templates, APIs configuration,
Guidelines, Integrations).
Explore the web page to find meeting notes and recordings.

Data file formats for preservation
When preparing a Data Management Plan for Horizon Europe project, researchers are required to provide information about types and formats of data the project will generate or re-use (1. Data Summary) and metadata vocabularies, standards, formats or
methodologies that will be followed to "make data interoperable to
allow data exchange and re-use within and across disciplines" (2.3. Making data interoperable). In the context of preservation, file formats should respect the authenticity and integrity of the data, while ensuring long-term access and preservation.
Although there are no absolute criteria for choosing file formats,
there are some general criteria and best practice that can be followed,
e.g. using open (conforming to publicly available specifications,
making it possible to decode the format) and preferably non-proprietary
formats, that can also be be used on different platforms.
Here, we are offering a selection of documents that present best practice and provide information about recommended file formats. Feel free to share any thoughts and resources you are using in the Forum.

Originally
released in 2019; the extended edition features a rubric to facilitate
the evaluation of data management plans (DMP).
The guide also presents core requirements for DMPs, criteria for the selection of trustworthy repositories, and guidance for researchers to comply with organisational requirements.
