Anonymisation is the process of removing personally identifiable
information (information that directly or indirectly relates to an
identified or identifiable person) from datasets containing sensitive
data. As a result, data subject is no longer identifiable. As opposed to
pseudonymisation, anonymisation is not reversible, which means that the
re-identification of the data subject is not possible.
